Jamusa
| Thousands of Caribbean expatriates know and love the man born Denver Silvera and renamed Jamusa. Part roots-reggae disc jockey, part comedian, part motivational speaker, Jamusa fills his drive-time show on (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 4p.m. to 6 p.m.) on WAVS with laughter, highjinks, and loads of great music. Jamusa has been a D.J. on WAVS 1170 AM for over 37 years. But he has been a club and all-around party D.J. since a child in Jamaica. He was a DJ on other South Florida radio stations in the early ’80s, but found a home on WAVS, and the rest is history. Jamusa has one of the most popular Caribbean programs in South Florida.    |
